SHARE THE LOVE Year 6 (2022): What is your true reason for the season?

It’s the Christmas Season again. Are you already getting swept up in the excitement of the season – perhaps cashing in on that long-awaited holiday trip now that COVID is finally ‘managed’ (a K-Pop artist said it was ‘over’)? What about getting that newest gadget or appliance that you’ve been eyeing since the lockdown? Or maybe even planning that party, inviting those friends whom you saw before the pandemic began?

There could be many reasons why we are all abustle this Christmas Season. In all this hustle and bustle, let me ask: what is your true reason for the season

Hi! My name is AJ, and one of my life passions is to inspire children and youth. I like to place smiles and share love either through my jokes and lively attitude, life experiences, or through my dance or teaching background.

My reason for the season is an event I started since 2012. I call it ‘Share The Love’, a charity event wherein I provide school materials to underprivileged children living in the slums of Northern Manila.

I share my love to over 100 children by donating a portion of my personal earnings to organize this event. Now, a decade after its inception, I am happy to say that I have helped over 500 underprivileged children by giving them school supplies: including pencils (for these children to write their aspirations), and notebooks (as canvases to draw their dreams on). A true-blue Filipino Christmas party, there are also fun Kiddie parlor games and a hearty Christmastime lunch.

I believe that sharing love is not a one-sided thing, and it is best when shared with one’s neighbor; as a community. As I share my love, I invite YOU to join by sharing your love to these kids, too. Together, let us set their smiles, hearts, and education as our reason for the season

For every $5 (~PHP250) you donate (roughly 2 cups of coffee or a meal at a fast-food restaurant), you would be able to help one (1) child receive a valuable Christmas gift: school supplies and a chance of living a better future.

Share The Love 2022 shall be held on the 20th of December 2022 at Tala Caloocan Methodist Church.

If you are called to donate (any amount is okay), click on the donate button below (for international friends), or (for Philippine-based friends), please contact/ donate through these channels (or message AJ).

Until then, I wish you a joyful Christmas and a blessed New Year!

Special Thanks to my BB and writer: Margarita – “Maity the Mighty”

Share the Love: Year 5 (2017)

Sometimes those who have little have most to give

Wanna experience a life changing and memorable Christmas? Join us on our SHARE THE LOVE YEAR 5 (2017), a Christmas Gift Giving Program.

This year, I plan to give school supplies + gifts and food to 100 kids. Funds will come from my own pocket, I skipped meals, worked hard, organized dance workshops for a cause and saved money to make this event possible.
With the help of family and friends, we’re hoping to give to more children.

Skip your dance classes, Give up your costly coffee and abstain from beer for a couple of days, and help kids have pencils to write their dreams with and notebooks to jot down their goals on.

Come and Join us on the 23rd of December 2017 at Tala Caloocan Methodist Church!

YOUR gift will help shape their future! 😀🙌🏻 If you donate more kids will benefit.

What we have done before...(Share The Love 2014)

As a part of my yearly thanksgiving,I am helping children to go to school and touch their hearts with my inspiring messages. It will be always my happiness. I have already shared my smile to other children and I want to extend it to the whole world. That’s the most overwhelming feeling that I have ever felt, it filled my soul with love and honor.

I created this K-Smile Foundation which promotes education by giving gifts (school supplies) every December. Besides giving gifts, I inspire them with my life experiences and teach them how I dance to the beat of my heart. As of now, I have helped a total of 500 children since 2012 and I plan to continue extending a helping hand to more in the future.

Why give school supplies?
I want to promote education which is I think the only answer to the poverty here in the Philippines.

I’m not that rich but with a small amount,I can make those children smile to the fullest and inspire them by spreading positivity in life.

For every 5$ you donate, you don’t only give this kids school supplies, you also give them hope that they can achieve their dreams.

Be a part of K Smile Foundation, let’s change the world with school supplies and happy hearts 😉

ZUMBA PARTY FOR A CAUSE 2012

Last 2012 I organized a Zumba Party for a cause in Iloilo City. A lot of people attended and we gathered enough donations to help more than 100 children in Moises Padilla, Negros. Hands down to the Iloilo Zumba Instructors who participated and helped out. I would like to give a shout out to Mr. Rudy Yap, an Australian Zin Zumba Instructor/Actor, Manang Aivon, Cathy, and Someday Mob Dancers who made this life changing event possible.

If you want to inspire people, bring those who are willing to share their successful stories and Im sure the outcome will bring out the best in every participant.

Thank you to everyone who supported. If you share your God given talent, you make the world a beyter place one dance step at a time.

SPREAD LOVE. LET’S ZUMBA!

Last 2015, I traveled and worked in different countries like Macau, Hongkong, Thailand and Singapore but I promised to go back home and organize another gift giving program. In a short period of time, me and my best buddy, Bep Jurquina, managed to help out a few children by giving them complete sets of school supplies.

My name is AJ, founder and organizer of K-Smile Foundation which aims to help out the less fortunate children by giving them schools supplies through our SHARE THE LOVE gift giving program.

I was a sponsored child of an NGO( World Vision Development Foundation). I know how it feels to have nothing and I saw how our parents struggled to provide for our school needs.

I made it a point to strive hard and I promised to give back as much as I can. I am not rich but I was blessed to have a group of friends that help out every year. Some help with more, some help with less but every donation is precious and we were able to help a number of children.

My heart is filled with happiness because every year, we receive more donations and that means we are able to help out more children. Words cannot express the joy I feel when I see these children with big smiles upon receiving our simple gifts.

Always remember:

It’s not how much you give but it’s how much love you put in giving. -Mother Teresa

Join us! Let’s paint smiles on children’s faces!
