Season 4 of AMC’s The Walking Dead consists of sixteen episodes; it premiered on October 13, 2013, and concluded on March 30, 2014.
It was confirmed on December 21, 2012, that AMC had renewed The Walking Dead for Season 4. Production of the season started on May 6, 2013, and consists of 16 episodes, with new showrunner Scott Gimple taking over from Glen Mazzara.
